The 4th annual Crave Lexington Food and Music Festival is taking place over two days next month in Lexington.
A presentation of Smiley Pete Publishing, the aim of the festival is to celebrate the cultural diversity that exists in Lexington, and there will be cooking demonstrations, live musical entertainment and children’s activities.
The names of this year’s musical performers have not been announced yet, but last year featured such artists as Will Solomon, The Wags, and JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound.
There will also be over 70 vendors on hand selling arts and crafts, general merchandise, and food. Applications for vendor spaces are being accepted until next Monday, July 11. The fees for a 10 x 10 booth are $379 for standard, $539 for showcase, $689 for extra large, and $300 for a food truck. Food vendors must offer at least three menu items that should be unique. To purchase food, guests will purchase ‘Crave tickets’, which cost $1 each with vendors receiving 75% of that cost.
This is a popular event in Lexington and it attracts over 50,000 visitors each year. Vendors who are participating may invest in Banners to bring more attention to their booths.
The event will be held at Masterson Station Park from August 13 to 14. Admission is $5, or free for children aged six and under. Call 859-266-6537 to learn more.
