New year sees two plays at Lexington venue

The Studio Players has an exciting lineup of comedy production for late winter and early spring. This all-volunteer theater’s plays are held at the Carriage House Theater in Lexington.

The comedy ‘Look, No Hans!’ will be performed January 16 to 19, 24 to 26, and 31 to February 2. Shows are held on Friday and Saturday at 8:00 pm, and Sunday matinees are at 2:00 pm.

In the play, Peter Fisher is a secret agent for the British Security of Industry and a manager of a car company. His wife returns home unexpectedly to find his mistress – a singing telegram girl and a spy from the security industry. This is a fast-paced comedy with many twists in the plot.

Bloody Murder, a comedy by Ed Gala, will be performed on March 12-29. A group of murder mystery enthusiast gather at a country estate, but someone is killed at Lady Somerset’s home and she refuses to call the police. This is an Agatha Christie mystery with a twist.

The shows will be on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2:30 pm. Tickets are handled by the Singletary Center Box Office. Printers design and provide banner printing for shows like this.

Studio Players has been entertaining residents since 1953. Nearby dining options before the show include Grazes restaurant, Epping’s on the Eastside, and Carson’s Food and Drink in Lexington.
