New exhibit delves into how we look at home

The Morlan Gallery at Transylvania University in Lexington will be showing the exhibit ‘Dwellings: Contemporary Home, House, and Neighborhood’, beginning in January.

The exhibition features the photography and sculpture of Libby Rowe. Some of her major works are highlighted in the show, including ‘Inside / Out’, ‘(sub)Division’, and ‘Dwell’. The purpose of this show is to determine what we mean when we talk about dwellings.

To encourage people to attend this show, organizers may invest in services such as postcard or flyer printing from Lexington Print companies. These items can then be distributed throughout the area by Direct Mail or by being posted in public buildings.

The showcase will be on display at the Morlan Gallery from January 14 to February 20. The gallery is open weekdays from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm or by special appointment.

The opening reception will take place on January 14 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, and guests will have the opportunity to meet the artist and find out firsthand about her work. In addition, the exhibit will be a stop on the Lexington Gallery Hop on January 16 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, and there will be a gallery talk on January 20 from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm.
