The Jubilee Jobs’ celebration of its fifth year will help to kick off the organization's ‘Year of Dignity and Hope’ in just over a week’s time. It will also be a fundraiser for the organization.
Those attending will enjoy lunch while they listen to guest speaker Rufus Friday from the Lexington Herald Leader. He will talk about the work the organization does and share his own story of success.
Jubilee Jobs has helped and trained more than 1,500 unemployed and underemployed people since its inception. It helps people find entry level jobs while giving them training in how to get hired, and all these services are provide free of charge.
The job program consists of seven steps that participants must agree to participate in. It starts off with orientation, then a visit with a job counselor, workshops, résumé development, finding interviews, and then following up.
To advertise this fundraising event, organizers might have invested in brochure or flyer printing services from Lexington companies. This may help them get more people to attend the event and more money for the organization.
The Jubilee Jobs celebration luncheon is taking place at Malone Banquets on November 7 from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm. Tickets are $100 each. Contact Shay Irwin at 859-977-0136 to find out more about the lunch and the organization behind it.
