The ‘Go Red for Women’ luncheon is taking place next month in Lexington. It is a fundraising event for the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign.
The keynote speaker will be Kelly MacFarland. The morning will consist of several educational sessions on topics like how to reverse heart disease, recovering from strokes, and being educated enough about health in order how to tell doctors exactly what is wrong. Among the lecturers will be Larry Griffin MD and Carol Stephens MSN.
There will also be a Macy's survivor fashion show and the Open your Heart moment, where survivors tell their stories. In addition, several community health-related organizations will be showcasing their programs and services to those who attend.
The luncheon will finish off with a celebratory toast to all of the survivors and their supporters. Sponsorships are available for purchase too.
The American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign is helping to educate the public and to provide support for survivors of heart disease.
It is likely that many of those who plan to attend will have received mailed Invitations which were provided by Lexington printing services companies.
