Local farm hosts weekend festivals this September

Boyd Orchards is ready to host several weekend festivals to help celebrate the apple harvest.

Each festival features many of the same activities. There are hayrides, playgrounds, a giant hay castle, a 90-foot slide, a corn maze, and a petting zoo. Guests can also enjoy pony and train rides, the animal center, and bonfires – all of which give children a chance to discover what life on a farm may be like.

The first planned event for this September is the Apple Days Festival. Guests will have to opportunity to pick their own apples and enjoy fresh baked apple pie. The next weekend after that is the Scarecrow Festival, where visitors can take part in all of the available activities and pick apples. This is followed by the Ole Cider Days Festival. Again, guests can pick their own apples and then enjoy freshly made hot apple cider.

Lexington Stationery printers are frequently asked to help advertise upcoming events such as these by providing items like Booklets and Flyers.

Apple Days are taking place from September 13 to 14, the Scarecrow Festival happens from September 20 to 21, and the Ole Cider Days Festival is being held from September 27 to 28. Admission is free but unlimited activities cost $10 for kids and $7 for adults. For more information, call 859-873-3097.
