The Bluegrass Classic Dog Shows are coming to Lexington for five days beginning tomorrow.
Three kennel clubs will be holding shows during this event – namely the Lexington, Northern Kentucky, and Mid-Kentucky Kennel Clubs. The shows will consist of obedience, rally, and conformation trials, as well as choosing the best of breeds.
There are set to be plenty of other activities going on during this event. Health clinics, specifically those targeting eye and cardiac problems, will be staffed by professional veterinarians. Visitors can ‘Meet the Breed’, and vendors will also be on hand to sell dog-related merchandise, such as supplies, toys, and T-Shirts.
For competitors there will be a free grooming space, stalls available for rent, and a dog bathing facility. Camping and RV parking is available on the premises.
As is usual with dog shows, there will likely be a lot of ribbons handed out to various winners. It is possible that Lexington Print companies will be asked to provide these.
The Bluegrass Classic Dog Shows are taking place at the Alltech Arena at Kentucky Horse Park from August 28 to September 1. Admission is $5 per vehicle or $15 for all five days.
