The 1st annual Derby Eve Lexington celebration is taking place later this week.
Proceeds from the event will go to support several local charities, including Horse Aid Live, Race for Education, and the Woodford Humane Society.
The main draw of the evening is expected to be a performance by the Spazmatics, and there will be several regional and local bands appearing, such as The Payback and The Cainlands. Guests will enter the venue across a red carpet. Once inside, they will enjoy gourmet food, an open bar, tasting stations, and a bourbon and cigar bar. There are also set to be palm and psychic readings, art displays, and dancing through the night.
VIP guests will have access to a private lounge and a separate buffet.
This is just one of the many events that are planned for Lexington leading up to the Kentucky Derby. Local Stationery printers are probably being kept busy in supplying printed Invitations, Flyers, and Posters that will be used to advertise most of these events in the community.
Derby Eve Lexington is being held at The Polo Barn on Saxony Farm on May 1, beginning at 7:30 pm, and is an age 21 and up event. General admission tickets are $200 each and VIP tickets cost $350, while tables of eight are $2,500.
