Huge steakhouse opens in Lexington

Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse opened on April 20 in downtown Lexington.

The 10,000 square foot restaurant offers many special amenities, and wants customers to have a special experience when they dine there. Overall, the restaurant design is art deco, complete with antiques, chandeliers, TVs, murals, and art.

Outside, the restaurant has a huge patio with a bar, and a bronze fountain with a horse. A special room dedicated to the basketball team the Wildcats seats 60 people.

The Gatsby Room in the restaurant is decorated like the movie set of Leonardo DiCaprio’s recent film. Another specialty room allows 20 customers to enjoy bourbon tasting.

The large bar inside has a stage attached for bands and entertainment. For seafood lovers, there is a sushi bar and raw bar.

With the menu including filet mignon, porterhouse, spicy chili-rubbed ribeye, Japanese tenderloin, steak and lobster, and New York Strip, there is plenty to choose from. Seafood options include lobster tail, scallops, salmon, and sea bass, and a decadent dessert menu features cakes, pies, Crème brûlée, bourbon balls, ice cream, breads, and tarts.

Their full-service bar serves wine, beer, bourbon, scotch, and mixed drinks.
