The Summer Soiree is taking place next month in Lexington. It is a part of the LexEnd Poverty Movement and is a fundraiser for the Community Action Council.
The Community Action Council is celebrating its 50th anniversary and proceeds from this event will go to support several of their programs.
The evening will be filled with exciting performances, including aerial entertainment in the vein of Le Circe de Soleil and music from Encore and DJ Warren Peace. There will also be the opportunity for dancing and networking with other guests.
Guests will enjoy heavy appetizers and an open bar and they will have the opportunity to bid on a variety of silent auction items.
The overall goal of the Community Action Council is to fight poverty and to advocate for the poor. It provides direct services for people such as life skills training, education, career planning, and mentoring. It also assists with seniors’ services and emergency housing.

The Summer Soiree is being held at the 21c Museum Hotel on July 1 from 7:00 pm to midnight. Tickets are $100 each or $175 for a couple.
