Festival celebrates the Latino culture

The Festival Latino de Lexington will be taking place in the city for two days next month. It is hosted by Lexington Parks and Recreation and several local organizations.

The event will start off on a Friday with a tropical night beginning at 5:00 pm. It will feature lots of authentic Latino foods, musical entertainment, and a fireworks display. The next afternoon will feature food, music, and children's activities.

Vendors will be selling a variety of arts and crafts and food, while community and political groups will be providing information. Vendors can still apply to participate in the festival until August 28. Fees are $50 for nonprofit organizations, $250 for political groups, craft vendors will pay $100 for a 10 x 10-foot space or $200 for a 10 x 20-foot space, and food space is $400 or $800. Vendors must bring their own tents. Sponsorships are also available from $1,000 up to $5,000.

To help advertise this event in the Lexington area, organizers might invest in flyer printing services.
