The UK Markey Cancer Center is putting on a pair of events this year, one of which will raise funds while the other shows support for past patients.
The Markey Golf Classic is taking place over two days next month, presented by the UK Markey Cancer Foundation. The event will start off with a dinner to be held at an area thoroughbred horse farm. It will also feature live music and an auction. The next day, the golf tournament will take place, made up of two-person teams. Sponsorships are available from $2,500 to $50, 000. So far, the Foundation has raised more than $3m for cancer research.
Shortly after, the Markey Cancer Center will be celebrating Survivors Day. The theme for this year is ‘Expressions of Courage’. It will feature an exhibition of art created by patients or in memory of someone who has passed from cancer.
No doubt many in the Lexington area will want to support this worthwhile center. To make sure as many people in the city know about these events as possible, local Print companies may be asked to provide materials such as Booklets and Posters for advertising.
