The 40th annual Woodland Art Fair is taking place in Lexington for two days next month.
The event is being organized by Lexington Parks and Recreation and the Lexington Art League. The festival has received many awards in the past, including ‘Best of Kentucky and Award of Excellence’.
Over 200 artisans will be on hand at the fair to sell handmade items such as jewelry, pottery, ceramics, and paintings. The Big Tent, hosted by the Lexington Art League, will provide interactive creative activities for children and adults alike, as well as selling the works of four featured artists including Matthew Cook and Sarah Jan Sanders.
A variety of other attractions and provisions will be on offer at the event including beer gardens, baby changing and nursing stations, and a variety of food vendors. Live musical entertainment will also be provided by local musicians.
Events like these are a great opportunity for Lexington area artists to showcase their arts and crafts, and to make their name better known in the area.
