The 10th annual Lexington-Bluegrass Area Minority Business Expo has been scheduled for August 1 - 2 at the Lexington Convention Center in the Bluegrass Ballroom and Thoroughbred rooms.
The Business Expo presents networking opportunities in which local businesses and community leaders can interact and showcase their products and services. Corporate buyers, as well as procurement entities representing the government, are expected to attend. Targeted one-on-one sessions will take place between the buyers and sellers.
The event also has scheduled professional speakers and seminars. A best-selling author and dynamic speaker, Lisa Nichols, will be the keynote speaker at the expo. She presents a powerful message on empowerment, gratitude, and service excellence.
Shane and Shawn Ward, well-known designers from New York who happen to be twins, launched a shoe collection several years ago and have become successful entrepreneurs through innovative and creative efforts. The duo will conduct a presentation on tips for success for small business owners.
Lauren Lake is scheduled to speak at the mixer event. She is an attorney, life coach, TV personality, and highly respected businesswoman. Her celebrity status includes hosting a show on HGTV called ‘Spice up my Kitchen.’
Businesses will be exhibiting at the trade show, giving attendees a convenient venue in which to explore the various products and services available. Local printing companies are contracted to provide signage, business card, poster and flyer printing services for the exhibitors and event management team.
