The Fall Banquet and Silent Auction for the Lexington Rescue Mission is taking place at the end of this month. Funds raised will go to provide resources for a number of programs and services.
The main event of the evening will be an appearance and speech by author Laura Schoff. She will be discussing her book “An Invisible Thread” which describes her long-term friendship with a person she met when he was a homeless 11-year-old. For those who are interested, Joseph Beth Booksellers will be on hand to sell this and the author’s other Books. Schoff will also be signing Copies of her book.
Several speakers will be discussing their experiences with the Lexington Rescue Mission and how it has helped them.
In addition to listening to speakers, guests will also enjoy a sit-down dinner, live entertainment and a silent auction.
The Lexington Rescue Mission provides emergency food, resource referrals, financial help, job training and many other important services to help people get back on their feet. Lexington Print shops are often asked to provide Invitations for charity events such as this.
