Annual festival showcases horse collectibles

The 27th annual Breyerfest Carnival is taking place over three days next month in Lexington.

The carnival is a celebration of Breyer model horses that have become very collectible to a large number of people.

There will be lots of activities for fans of these models and of horses in general. Several live horses will be making appearances including Imperado das Aguas JM from Brazil, which is a Mangalarga Marchador.

There will be several horse shows including the Celebration of Horses, which will feature ten Arabian animals and will be held over two nights. Tickets are $15 each.

Other activities will include seminars about horse colors and learning to collect, workshops on topics such as repairing and painting models, and a model horse diorama competition. There will also be other events happening including the Splash Dogs Eastern Regional Championship, a petting zoo and mechanical bull rides. In addition, there will be a marketplace, a food court, live and silent auctions and the Tonka Truck Zone.

It is likely that organizers will invest in flyer or brochure printing services from a favorite Lexington Stationery printer to advertise this event.

The Breyerfest Carnival will be held at Kentucky Horse Park from July 22 to 24. Admission is $15 per day. Three-day passes are available for $97.50 for adult and $67.50 for children and include a ticket to the Celebration of Horses. Call 973-633-5090 to learn more.
