Teens get together in Olathe

The local public library will host an open meetup for teens this November.

The event is an initiative by the Trailblazers Esports Club. It gives an opportunity for local gamers to connect and battle each other in numerous games. The options will include League of Legends, Fortnite, Rocket League, and Mario Smash Bros. Participants will also have the opportunity to join the games virtually. Those wishing to do so must first join the Discord group to have access to the games. There will also be useful information such as scheduling posted on the Discord site.

For those attending in-person, there will be 10 computers available, and these are made available based on arrival. Those who arrive first will have precedence. Players must first check in with the event’s coach before the game begins. Those that require further information or assistance may reach out to Teen Assistant Laurenjoy Graves by email or telephone. The email address is lgraves@olathelibrary.org, and phone number is 913 – 971 -6806.

Graphic design can be an interesting way for organizers to create interactive material for players at events like this one.

The meetup is free to attend and takes place on November 7 during Teen Zone at the Olathe Public Library. This is located at 16100 West 135th Street, Olathe. It begins at 4:00 pm and ends at 6:00 pm.
