A special presale has been scheduled for the Olathe area, and will give attendees a chance to do some shopping ahead of the general public.
Here We Grow Again Kids is organizing the Holiday Mart and Presale for the benefit of the Johnson County Christmas Bureau. The Bureau organizes a huge event that provides products to families in need during the holidays.
Details of the upcoming Holiday Mart are still being finalized, but it will feature craft vendors from the local area. People who would like to shop this event need to purchase a ticket online, or at the door; both are $5. Alternatively, they could bring a gently-used or new coat as a donation for the Johnson County Christmas Bureau.
The Bureau sets up a much larger Holiday Shop every year, where residents who need assistance can find basic items such as winter coats, personal care products, and children's items at affordable prices. This year, the Holiday Shop will operate differently because of the pandemic. Participants will list their requirements, and their products will be placed in their vehicles by volunteers, with no physical interaction.
The Holiday Mart is scheduled for November 13, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, at City Center Fitness on 87th Street Parkway in Lenexa, a short distance from Olathe. The larger Holiday Shop will operate December 4 through December 14, at a location to be announced. Poster printing can provide colorful advertisements for events such as this.
