A class is being offered that will allow people in Olathe to let their inner artist emerge.
Pinot's Palette is a “paint and sip” franchise; a venue where people can recreate a painting, as well as enjoy wine with friends. The painting that will be copied at the upcoming event is Claude Monet's “Water Lilies at Morning.” Monet did a series of paintings of the water lilies in the pond in his garden in Giverney, France.
People who register for a class at Pinot's are to bring their own bottles, but the studio provides everything else, including corkscrews, silverware, napkins, plates, ice, glassware, and water. Since space is limited, no non-painters are allowed to attend. In addition, everyone who wants to paint needs to have a reservation, and must be either 18 years of age or older. Young people from 10 to 17 may attend, but will need to have an adult with them, who will also be doing a painting.
Since classes are customized, reservations are final, but can be changed under certain circumstances. In most cases they will be transferred to a different class, but any cancellations less than 24 hours before the event will lose the reservation completely.
The painting event is scheduled for July 15, from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm, at Pinot's Palette on South Strang Line Road. Flyer printing is useful for creating handouts for events like this.
