Olathe store to hold fall festival

An Olathe studio and “general store” will be holding a Fall Fest event this October, bringing together several local vendors.

The festival aims to provide products that relate to the fall season and the changing of the leaves. This will include autumnal candles and decor as well as items related to the Kansas City area’s football heritage. Announced vendors include Adorn Floral, Mad Denim, and Inappropriate Grandpa Cards. There will also be food and drink provided by local suppliers such as Grounded Mobile Coffee, Bread of the Month Club, and Granola in the Raw. More vendors are expected to be announced in the lead-up to the event.

The Fall Fest is hosted by Junque Drawer Studio, a woman-owned boutique that provides artistic products such as art supplies and jewellery alongside miscellaneous items ranging from office supplies to clothing. The studio also doubles as an event space, regularly hosting classes and events like Fall Fest, and its Junque 101 space both hosts private events and operates as a bed-and-breakfast. Marketplaces like this provide an opportunity for local businesses to reach new customers, often providing Business Cards or otherwise giving out contact information to make lasting connections. Attendance is free, with family participation encouraged.

The Fall Fest will take place at Junque Drawer Studio on the morning and afternoon of October 9.
