Olathe Live! returns for another year

For the last two decades, Olathe Live! Shows have served a dual purpose—entertaining families and supporting local charities. The organization recently announced its lineup for its annual series of outdoor concerts.

Many of the groups are “tribute” bands, playing the songs of other groups, while some play their own material. The first concert will bring Josh Hoyer & Soul Colossal to Frontier Park to play their blend of funk and soul. Joining them will be Lester Estelle & Friends, who play contemporary jazz.

Next up is Danielle Nicole, who founded Trampled Under Foot, a blues-rock band from Kansas City. Rocky Athas will also appear with her at Frontier Park.

Lake Olathe Park, which was recently renovated, will be the venue for a performance by Liverpool as well as Brody Buster's One Man Band.

A concert at Stagecoach Park is next up, with the Elton John Experience appearing along with a Who tribute band, The Who Generation. The series ends with the Tallgrass Express String Band appearing at Stagecoach Park, along with Kelly Hunt along with Stas' Heaney and Friends.

All shows, which are family-friendly and free of charge, start at 7.00 pm. The first concert, featuring Josh Hoyer, is June 14. Danielle Nicole's appearance is June 28, and the Liverpool/Brody Buster concert is July 12. The Elton John/Who concert is July 26, and the final concert with Tallgrass Express is October 11. Organizers of series like this can use banner printing to make announcements and create decorations.
