There will be a health screening taking place in Olathe this July.
The event is being put on by Life Line Screening, which is among the leading companies in the US providing preventative healthcare screenings. These screenings promise to be non-invasive, cost-effective, and painless.
The screening package will involve a combination of screens, which will detect chronic health risks and cardiovascular conditions. These will include:
• Carotid artery ultrasound to detect fatty plaque accumulation in the carotid arteries, which can be a stroke contributor
• Ultrasound of the abdomen, screening for aneurysms that could potentially rupture the aorta
• Heart rhythm screening, using the legs and arms to quickly identify irregular heartbeats
• Peripheral artery screening, monitoring the lower extremities for peripheral arterial disease (PAD)
