Shawnee Mission Health, a network of high-priority care clinics, has set up a new location in Olathe. This marks the third facility for the company in Johnson County.
The new urgent care facility, known as Centra Care Shawnee Mission, is on West 119th Street, and represents a partnership between Centra Care and Shawnee Mission Health. Both companies operate under the Adventist Health System umbrella. There are Centra Care locations in Lenexa and Overland Park, with another to be opened in Shawnee.
The Olathe clinic, which offers walk-in care, has a physician on staff who is able to treat a wide variety of noncritical injuries and illnesses, such as sprains, colds, broken bones, and flu. The doctor will treat both children and adults.
The facility includes a dedicated room for pediatric exams, and a children’s waiting area. The center offers a number of other services including drug testing, employment physicals, health risk appraisals, Department of Transportation examinations, and occupational health examinations. The facility is open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on weekdays, and 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on weekends. Reservations can be made online.
