The Pie Five Pizza Company is opening a new location in Olathe.
Pie Five's newest store is going to open today, December 11 at 15404 West 119th Street, which is near Strang Line Road.
According to Dave Goebel, who is the franchisee of the location, the store is the eighth to open in this community. He describes the response to the venture as “astounding”, and notes that because the pizza place is a family business, it's been especially gratifying to be able to give back to the community, as well as serve area families.
During the year, Pie Five restaurants throughout the Kansas City area gave 5% of their total sales each Monday to Children's Mercy Hospitals. So far this year, that has totaled almost $80,000.
Pie Five will give all of the money it makes on pre-opening events to the hospital. Among the offerings are tickets to the University of Kentucky-Kansas University basketball game, as well as a year of free pizza. Mix 93 will be on hand for opening day festivities, and will give away prizes as well.
Dave Goebel could work with a banner printing company to create festive, fun Banners to hang throughout the location, inside and out, to celebrate the opening. Banners are sturdy and can be used repeatedly.
