New healthcare facility now open in Olathe

Olathe Health Physicians recently opened its Hedge Lane clinic.

The $2.2m facility comprises 9,400 square feet, and includes radiology, X-ray, lab, and primary care services. The clinic is on Dartmouth Street.

Hoefer Wysocki was the lead architect firm on the project, and said the facility is a prototype, designed so that physician pods can be replicated easily in the event the clinic expands.

Jim Stearman, the principal at Hoefer Wysocki, said Hedge Lane Clinic differs from other urgent-care centers because it has been designed as a sort of ‘one-stop shop’. Family care and primary care physicians, as well as nurses, will be on site to provide immediate diagnoses and treatments, backed up by the lab, X-ray, and radiology departments also located at the clinic.

The general contractor on the project was Meyer Brothers Building Company. A similar clinic opened in January in Paola, Kansas.

Olathe Health is an indigenous healthcare concern that began as a startup in 1953, with a 30-bed hospital. Today, the organization has grown to a network serving patients in four counties via the Miami County Medical Center; the Olathe Medical Center; the 35 clinics, now including Hedge Lane, associated with Olathe Health Physicians; and over 300 doctors and 2,500 other employees.

New facilities like this can benefit when management works with a brochure printing company to create a booklet that clearly illustrates the organization’s services.
