The Olathe West Public Safety Academy is putting on a car show and fundraiser this May.
The academy provides children in local public schools with the skills and knowledge needed for post-secondary education in the areas of law enforcement and fire rescue.
The funds raised will go to the Andrew Caraway Scholarship Fund and The Olathe West Public Safety Academy itself. Attendees are encouraged to participate to show their support. The proceeds from the event will help to support the program's aim to educate and train the children involved. The event will feature performances by Olathe West Jazz Band. Olathe area public safety organizations will also be at the event debuting their unique cars. The organizers are offering lunch and cotton candy throughout the day.
The event is open to the public and individuals of all ages. Available for purchase will be T-Shirts, food, and raffle tickets. Though general admission is free, there will be a $25 entry fee for car owners who wish to have their vehicle entered for judging. Banner printing can be a great way for the event organizers to mark the location of the car judging at events such as this one.
The fundraiser will be taking place on Sunday, May 6, starting at 12:00 noon. It will be located at 2200 W Santa Fe St, Olathe.
