A lazy summer evening can be a great time for a vehicle show, and one of these activities is set to roll into Portage in a few weeks.
The 8th annual Charity Car Show is fast approaching, and it will be held at Rittenhouse Village. The entry fee is $20 each, and all types of cars and motorcycles, no matter how new or old they may be, are welcome.
The public is invited to stop by the show-and-shine, and judging will take place in an assortment of categories. They can view the entries and meet the owners, and possibly be inspired to take up restoring their own classic car. Joe Zirconia will supply the entertainment, and a raffle will take place. Those who exhibit a vehicle will be treated to lunch.
Advanced registration is not required, but it would be appreciated. The run time for the event is three hours.
While the function will be a friendly competition, awards will be presented for the People's Choice, Resident’s Choice, and Chamber’s Choice. Trophies, certificates, plaques, and other Corporate Gifts will all be available at area Print shops.
The 8th annual Rittenhouse Village Car Show will be up and running on Thursday, August 3, beginning at 4:00 pm. The rain date for the occasion will be the following Thursday, August 10. The planners can be reached at (219) 654-1076.
