Portage publication invites local businesses to get involved
The Portage Chamber of Commerce provides its businesses and not-for-profit groups with a collective voice, and one of its initiatives is accepting submissions for its fall publication.
The Chamber’s Community Compass program was started in 2024, and five installments have been distributed since. Submissions for its Fall 2025 installment are still being accepted at the time of writing, and it may provide a valuable marketing boost to the companies and organizations that participate.
Inclusion in this magazine is one of the perks offered to Chamber members, and at least 20,000 copies will be distributed to local households and businesses through direct mail. Both Portage and South Haven will be covered, and local hotels, eateries, doctor’s waiting rooms, and other venues also provide copies of the publication to their patrons and patients. It consists of 32 full-color pages, and anyone interested in placing an advertisement will need to complete the Ad Agreement prepared by the Chamber.
Printed publications can keep a community abreast of local happenings and the businesses in their local area. Print shops that offer binding services can be called on to help.
The final date to submit a request to be included in the Community Compass is August 3. The magazines will start being distributed to mailboxes on or around September 15, and the Ad Agreement and other details can be found on the Chamber’s website.
