“Up” is an apt description for 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS), since the group first got together in Sydney, Australia, in 2011. They started out on YouTube, but gained fame and a substantial following when they began touring. Since they started out, they have been the headliners on five worldwide arena tours, and released four albums. Cumulatively, 5SOS have sold more than two million tickets to their concerts, as well as enjoying the fact their songs have been streamed in excess of seven billion times.
Their hit “She Looks So Perfect” was a huge success and brought them to the attention of music lovers everywhere. In their brief career thus far, they have won two MTV Video Music Awards, two APRA awards, five ARIA Awards, eight MTV European Music Awards, two iHeartRadio Music Awards, a People's Choice Award, and an American Music Award. Their bright and breezy musical style, showmanship, and heavy guitar work has fans dancing and singing along with them.
