Two new nonstop flights will be operating out of Indianapolis by the end of the year.
Allegiant Air recently announced it will be adding nonstop flights from Indianapolis to two new destinations later this year—West Palm Beach, Florida, and Tucson, Arizona. The flights will operate twice each week, all year long. Brochure printing is often used to create schedules for operations like this.
Allegiant is based in Las Vegas, and began operations in Indianapolis in 2015. In 2018, it opened a local crew based, and added a third aircraft, also based in Indianapolis, this year, expanding that base. Adding these two new nonstops means that Allegiant now flies from Indianapolis to 15 cities in the southwest and south.
Dave Beadle, Jim Patterson, and Mitch Allee founded Allegiant Air in January 1997, with Beadle as chief pilot, Patterson as president, and Allee CEO and owner. At first, the organization was known as WestJet Express, but after a dispute over the name, which was similar to two other companies, the name Allegiant Air was chosen. The airline was certified to operate both commercial and charter services by the U.S. Department of Transportation, and the Federal Aviation Administration, in 1998. Allegiant is also allowed to fly charters to Mexico and Canada.
Flights will begin November 14 for passengers flying to Tucson International, while November 25 is the start date for flights to Palm Beach International Airport. Tickets are now on sale for both cities.
