Next month, the Cottage Home Neighborhood Association of Indianapolis will host its annual block party with a festival Halloween theme this year.
Founded in 1984, the Cottage Home Neighborhood Association is one of the most active neighborhood groups and frequently hosts fundraisers such as the Home & Garden Tour and the annual block party. The proceeds of these fundraisers go towards neighborhood maintenance and improvement projects.
The festivities will take place along Dorman Street, where the playground and community space are located. The Ruskaup Mansion – an 1890 brick building that once served as a store, tavern, and living quarters – will provide a suitably spooky background for the Halloween bash. There will be two music stages where local musicians will play, as well as artist and vendor booths for attendees to peruse. There will also be a wide selection of food and drink vendors present.

The 2021 Cottage Home Block Party is scheduled for October 9 from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm. It is free for the public to attend, but a donation of $5 is suggested to help pay for event expenses. It will take place between the 700 blocks of Dorman Street and Highland Avenue.
