Indianapolis pet owners will have the chance to paint a portrait of their pet while also benefiting a good cause at the Paint Your Pet Benefitting SOAR Initiative event next month.
The event will take place at BrewDog Indianapolis and will be hosted by Zach Lowe Fine Art Experiences. BrewDog Indianapolis is a Scottish brewery that serves craft beer in a no-frills atmosphere. Participants will pay to paint a pet portrait, and proceeds will benefit the SOAR, Street Outreach Animal Response, which supports both humans and animals and enables people to access and navigate services to overcome barriers to increase the quality of both human and animal life.
Attendees will paint their pet in either a traditional style or a pop art style. A photograph of one’s pet must be submitted to the instructor, Zach, at zachlowe.gallery@gmail.com before April 1. A sketch or outline of the photo will then be transposed on canvas for attendees to use as a guide. Sets of acrylic paints and brushes will also be provided.

The Indianapolis Paint Your Pet event is slated for April 3. BrewDog is located at 1140 Shelby Street. There will be two sessions: one from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm and the second from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Tickets are $45.
