Indianapolis to get cheesy at cooking workshop

This February Indianapolis cheese lovers will have the opportunity to learn how to make their very own ricotta and burrata cheeses at the Ricotta ad Burrata-Making Class.

The cheese workshop will be hosted by the Tulip Tree Creamery, an artisan cheese maker and gourmet cheese shop boasting several internationally award-winning cheeses. The shop both sells its cheese and offers cheese-related workshops to the public, such as the one happening in February.

To participate in this class, attendees are not required to have taken the mozzarella-making class, although it may be helpful to have as a foundation. Participants will be working in groups of two to four people making fresh hand-laded ricotta from fresh pasteurized milk.

After the ricotta portion is completed, attendees will then be provided with fresh mozzarella to create two burrata balls. The hand-stretched mozzarella will be filled with curd, cream, and fresh ricotta. Attendees are welcomed to come early beforehand to enjoy tasty treats and a cheese board.

Instructional workshops like this will often include informational printed materials, such as Brochures, to facilitate the learning process. Organizers requiring these materials may seek out brochure printing services and the like from local businesses.

The Ricotta and Burrata-Making Class will take place on February 22 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Tulip Tree Creamery is located at 6330 Corporate Drive. General admission is $70.
