For the gaming community, Gen Con Indy 2012 provides thousands of gaming events that include something for everyone, from the novice to the serious gamer. Gen Con has been breaking attendance records and trendsetting for more than 44 years and 2012 will mark Indianapolis’ tenth year in continuing the tradition. This year’s gaming extravaganza will be held August 16 - 19, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.
Gen Con is the biggest consumer hobby, adventure, fantasy, and sci-fi game arena, consisting of board games, miniatures, electronic games, TCGs, and RPGs.
Guests can enjoy workshops, electronic games, guest appearances, anime, seminars, auctions, art shows, tournaments, and exhibit hall booths. Print companies have probably been utilized for poster printing and flyer printing to promote the world-famous event. Promoters say that this year’s convention has the potential to be the largest in the event’s history.
There will be a Family Fun Day on August 19 during the four-day convention, where families can receive a special discounted rate. A Family Fun Pavilion is available for family gaming and Training Grounds will offer children of ages 4-12 as an introduction into the gaming world.
Prices vary among the days. A four-day badge would cost $80 at the door on the first day of the convention, Family Fun badges are $30 for Sunday, and a one-day pass for Thursday through Saturday is $50.
