Indianapolis Halloween party to go green

This October, the Indiana Conservation Voters (ICV) will hold the Take Action! Green Halloween, an eco-friendly Halloween fundraiser that combines spooky fun with sustainability education.

The IVC is a 501(c)4 affiliate of the League of Conservation Voters that serves as an organization fighting to give all Indiana voters a voice about specifically the environmental and economic policies of the state. The group ensures that Indiana's elected officials are held accountable to the voting public in terms of clean air, energy, and water. The Take Action! event will raise money for these efforts in honor of International Day of Climate Change.

The Halloween event feature live music from the Starlight Lounge, Chorin, Decanter, Rebe11ious, The Untold, and UaZit!. Tasty local food and drinks will also be sold as refreshment options. Other activities include voter education booths, as well as a sustainability themed costume contest. The contest will invite contestants to dress in their most creative eco-friendly fashion for a chance to win a fun prize.

Fundraising events may include informative Brochures to give to attendees at the entrance gates that detail event specifics. Organizers may visit area shops specializing in brochure printing services to prepare these sorts of materials.

The Green Halloween event will be held on October 24 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. It will take place at Black Circle, which is located at 2201 East 46th Street.
