Indianapolis festival to celebrate German heritage

The German American Klub Indianapolis will soon hold the annual Indianapolis Oktoberfest for the 50th year in a row.

The German American Klub promotes and preserves the German American heritage of the German American community that calls Indianapolis home. The organization works to educate and share about the culture, traditions, and history of people with German heritage by offering a range of educational activities, social events, and cultural festivals, such as the one happening in September.

The three-day festival will feature German beers and wines from Buck Creek Winery that attendees will be able to taste and enjoy. Those who do not drink can enjoy non-alcoholic offerings such as lemonade, soft drinks, and water. There will also be traditional German food, pretzels, and desserts to choose from. Live music featuring both traditional and modern German music will take place on the Biergarten Stage and Pavilion Stage. There will also be various vendors present and arts and crafts booths.

Printed schedules can be helpful for organizers of such festivals to provide attendees interested in knowing more about each activity or event. Local printing services can offer assistance to organizers in preparing these materials.

The Indianapolis Oktoberfest will be held from September 5 to September 7. It will take place at 8600 South Meridian Street. Tickets are $5 per person, with children 12 and under admitted for free.
