Next month, Sea Scope Inc will host its 1st Annual Achievement and Awards Celebration Dinner in honor of all the Indianapolis young people who have worked to protect Earth’s oceans.
Sea Scope is a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing diversity in aquatics and science in order to raise awareness about marine conservation issues in all people, regardless of background or ethnicity. The organization provides hands-on aquatics training, educational workshops, and youth development programs. These provide hands-on learning experiences for Indianapolis children and teens and offer an accessible way to learn about the world and the importance of environmental conservation.
At the celebration dinner, young people belonging to the groups Surface to Seas, Eco-Warriors, and Discovers will be honored for their successful completion of water safety, snorkeling and scuba training, ocean stewardship, and ocean literary principles. There will be special guests present, and sponsor reveals will be announced concerning the Discoverers future underwater exploration pathways. After the dinner and awards presentation, a dance party will follow. The dress code will be dressy casual.
Awards ceremonies involving sponsorships may also include giveaways of Promotional Products related to the event.
The awards dinner is scheduled for January 14 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. It will be held at the Indianapolis Zoo at 1200 West Washington Street. Tickets are $50.
