Legendary rock band coming to Indianapolis
Tickets are already on sale for the appearance of REO Speedwagon in Indianapolis this summer.
The band was formed in Champaign, Illinois, in 1967, and although the members have changed, they have been performing continuously ever since. Today's lineup includes lead vocalist Kevin Cronin, who has been handling vocal duties since 1972. The other bandsmen are Bryan Hitt on drums, Dave Amato on guitar, Neal Doughty on keybaords, and Bruce Hall handling the bass.
In its career, REO Speedwagon has sold over 40 million albums throughout the world. In 1980, the group released its ‘Hi Infidelity’ album, which soared to the No. 1 spot on the charts and remained there for 15 weeks. The album also received the 10X Diamond Award from the Recording Industry Association of American (RIAA) after it sold more than 10 million copies in the United States.
Among the band's biggest hits are ‘Roll with the Changes’, ‘Keep on Loving You’, ‘Can't Fight This Feeling’, and ‘Take it on the Run’. A review of a 2018 sold-out performance reveals the band members are still bringing down the house, both with their old standards and new material. Event promoters can use poster printing to create advertising for concerts like this.
The concert is set for June 11 in White River State Park, at the Farm Bureau Insurance Lawn. Sister Hazel is REO Speedwagon's special guest. Tickets are being handled by Ticketmaster, LiveNation.com, and can also be purchased at the Old National Centre Box Office.
