On Friday, May 11th, The Columbia Club will be presenting “The Chanteuse is Loose” located at 121 Monument Circle in Indianapolis, Indiana. This event begins at 8pm.
Actor Lainie Kazan, who had a varied and long time career on both the screen and the stage will join guests this event to share some of the stores about her days on stage, as well as share some of the music during her time on screen and stage. As Barbara Streisand’s understudy for the film Funny Girl, Lainie’s career took off and soon she was singing in some of the top television shows including twenty-six appearances on the Dean Martin Show, as well as her own special variety showcase, and many others. She also performed in many night clubs and received critical acclaim for the blockbuster comedy “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”, “My Favorite Year”, and “On Broadway”. She was also renowned for her work in “The Vagina Monologues”. She also made many special appearances on the Will and Grace Show, Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty, and the Nanny.
