Indianapolis to hear sound of Thunder
A popular folk group will appear in Indianapolis soon.
Celtic Thunder is hard to classify. The five members of the Irish group are gifted singers, who blend pop music and Irish folk tunes into something entirely their own. However, they also offer elaborate staging that rivals anything seen on Broadway. Each tour is separate from every other: in 2008, they presented “The Show”; in 2012, it was “Voyage”: in 2013, “Mythology”; and the current effort is “X.”
The group was the vision of Sharon Browne, the producer, who first brought them together in 2007 in Ireland. She wanted to combine Irish world-class vocal talent with outstanding theatrical production values. This would create an experience based on traditional Irish tunes, but with outside influences such as spirituals and rock.
Keith Harkin, George Donaldson, Paul Byron, Damian McGinty, and Ryan Kelly formed the original group, with only McGinty and Kelly still with the show. However, Brown's idea guaranteed they would remain a top act even with the lineup changes.

Celtic Thunder Ireland will appear at the Old National Centre on November 28 at 7:30 pm. Poster printing is often used to promote events like this, as posters are frequently collected by fans.

“Their harmony was perfect, they sang happily and made everyone have fun. Several times we were brought to our feet with enthusiastic applause! . . . They were excellent musicians with an electrictrfying [sic] fiddle, harp extraordinarily played, and fantastic pianist.”
