Indianapolis market to promote artisans and brews
The Near Eastside Makers Market & Bar Hop will be held in Indianapolis this May to showcase the community’s talented artisans, as well as introduce a range of craft beers.
The makers’ market will be presented by I Heart Indie Markets, an event organizer that matches up indie artists with already established markets and helps makers organize and host their own market events. I Heart Indie Markets operates across the country, connecting artists with markets and helping indie businesses reach their full potential.
Unlike a traditional craft show, the Near Eastside Makers Market will offer a unique, craft-centered experience that will appeal to the whole family. It will be housed in a local brewery called Centerpoint Brewing Co., which prides itself on brewing beers approachable to everyone. Attendees 21 and older are welcome to purchase a beer from the brewery and enjoy it as they peruse the marketplace. The market itself will feature a variety of handcrafted goods, including metal workings, paintings, prints, candles, knitwork, home décor, and jewelry.
Handing out business cards at events like this can help independent artisans and vendors make connections with potential buyers that may seek them out following the event.
The indie market is scheduled for May 7, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Centerpoint Brewing Co. is located at 1125 East Brookside Avenue, Suite 2B. Entry is no charge.
