Indianapolis historical society to host coffee hour
This February, The Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site will host a coffee hour entitled Legacies Intertwined: Douglass and Harrison for any Indianapolis residents interested in learning more about American history.
The Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site preserves the home, grounds, and collections of the 23rd US president, Benjamin Harrison. The museum also promotes patriotism and citizenship through educational activities. As a part of those activities, the Presidential Site also holds an informative coffee hour every first Friday of the month. The upcoming event will offer an educational talk by the curator about the relationship between Frederick Douglass and Benjamin Harrison.
The talk will last 30 minutes as the curator discusses some of the more interesting and unexpected collection items of the museum. Tinker Coffee Co. will provide the coffee for the event, and there will be plenty of pastries to enjoy. Due to COVID-19 precautions, masks will be required and spots will be limited to 10 guests. Guests must reserve their spot ahead of time.
The coffee hour is slated for Friday, February 5, from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm. Admission is free to museum members, and $6 for nonmembers. To learn how to reserve a spot, those interested can visit bhpsite.org.
With such events, organizers often turn to businesses specializing in brochure printing to create informative brochures to go along with the discussion.
