Indiana Arts Homecoming set for Indianapolis

The Indiana Arts Commission recently announced that the Indiana Arts Homecoming will take place in Indianapolis. This is the third year for the event, which will be held at the Indiana Historical Society.

The theme of the 2019 gathering is “Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Access: Arts for All”. The conference, which invites participates from throughout the state to attend, challenges community leaders, art educators, and the artists themselves to explore what “arts for all” really means.

In 2018, over 300 people came from more than 40 counties in Indiana to attend the homecoming, which was held in Fort Wayne. Gatherings such as this can benefit when organizers use flyer printing to create materials explaining the mission of the group, and share successful outcomes of people involved in the effort.

The Indiana Arts Commission's executive director, Lewis C. Ricci, said the response to the homecoming was far beyond what anyone was expecting, and confirms that leaders of communities from all over the state, in both urban and rural areas, understand the ways in which the arts can benefit an area economically, and a community as a whole.

All communities can benefit by using arts partnerships to solve problems creatively, and bring people together. The homecoming will allow attendees to share success stories from civic organizations, artists, and the communities where they live.

The Arts Homecoming is set for October 24 and 25.
