Celebrated electronic music group coming to Indianapolis
One of the world's most notable electronic musical groups is coming to Indianapolis.
The Prime Social Group is presenting RÜFÜS DU SOL, a three-piece band from Australia that first formed in 2010, founded by James Hunt, Jon George, and Tyrone Lindqvist, which is still the lineup. Since they began performing, they released two albums, “Bloom” and “ATLAS,” which both were platinum-certified.
Their third album, “Solace,” marked a turning point for the group. They used the work to explore deeper into their genre, which has revealed a different side to the trio. The band says the album deals with finding hope when everything seems dark, and was born during a particularly difficult time for the group, leading them to tackle ideas such as dealing with loss.
To accompany their latest album, RÜFÜS DU SOL has created a new stage show, including new analog gear and a redesigned visual presentation, that will bring the magic of their studio recordings to live performance. A review of a live show called it “memorable,” with the band alternating between ballads and rock that either had the crowd swaying or enjoying the power of a pulsing beat.
RÜFÜS DU SOL will appear at The Pavilion in Indianapolis on February 26. The show begins at 7:00 pm. Tickets are on sale now, ranging from $35 to $70. Poster printing is often used to advertise events like this.
