Cardi B shakes up Indy in make-up date
After being forced to cancel her scheduled appearance earlier this year, rapper Cardi B returned to Indianapolis to shake things up earlier this month.
Although she called off her July appearance at the last moment, Cardi B made it up to the fans with a recent high-energy performance at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The audience, mostly women, rapped along with the performer to her hits, danced, yelled, and got into the spirit. Poster printing is often used when events such as this are scheduled.
A native of New York, Cardi B got her start as an exotic dancer, and although she no longer performs on that stage, she has brought some of her moves to her current onstage persona, using high kicks and leg extensions during her performances.
Much of the first half of the show featured dancing and twerking, including on top of a prop ATV as she performed “MotorSport.” She took off her shoes for the number and remained barefoot for the remainder of the evening. Her athleticism was on display in “Money,” which she opened by performing a headstand.
The second half of the concert focused more on her music and less on dance moves. She showed her talent for and experience in pop music and rap, and delighted the audience with renditions of her greatest hits “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It.” The show ran 50 minutes.
