People are invited to come out and help celebrate red-headedness at a premier event being held at the Old Idaho Penitentiary.
‘Gingerfest’ features contests for both male and female gingers, as well as the Best Kid Gingers. This is a community event and is suitable for people of all ages.
The organizers for this event probably used both flyer printing and poster printing to advertise the festival to people who reside in this community and the surrounding communities.
This fun event features contests for men, women, children, and the Best Ginger Pet Photo Contest, although pets should remain at home. There will be a vast selection of games with prizes, plenty of goodies to eat, and guests can have their mug shot taken at the photo booth.
In addition, the evening will feature a selection of foods, from tacos to pizzas. There will be beverages, including beers, wine, and ginger ale, as well as other red drinks, from Crooked Fence Brewing, sponsored by the Friends of the Historical Museum and the Old Idaho Penitentiary.
Admission costs $3 per child and $5 per adult. The Gingerfest celebration will be happening this Friday, May 9, starting at 6:00 pm at 2445 Old Penitentiary Road in Boise, Idaho. To find out more about this festival, visit the venue’s website or call the office at 208-334-2844.
