Boise downtown organizes shopping party schedule

Downtown Boise is a local headquarters for winter fun, and many of its shops, services, and eateries will be taking part in its January First Thursday shopping party.

The First Thursday initiative, which is organized by the Downtown Boise Association, provides the public with an opportunity to get to know all it has to offer. January’s installment will run for four hours and kicks off the 2026 schedule.

The participating establishments will each be participating in their own way, creating a unique experience at each location. Beverage sips and food tastings are likely, as well as exhibits by local artists. Trunk shows, sales, and product launches are among the attractions likely to be on the agenda. As there will be special fun just for the kids, the whole family is welcome.

Shopping parties and other initiatives can encourage locals to discover the merchants in their home area, and they may also attract shoppers from further afield. A Print company will be able to use graphic design techniques to prepare customized Promotional Products to distribute during an event.

The first session of First Thursday in Downtown Boise for 2026 will be held on January 1, and once each month thereafter. While the function will officially run from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, each participating venue will set its own schedule.
