Boise residents invited to get down and dirty for a cause

A special running event has been planned for the Boise area that will put a special twist on the typical obstacle race.

The Tater Dash Mud Run, which is billed as being one of the best occasions of its kind in the state, will be back for its fourth year. The 5.2-mile long route will include an assortment of obstacles, and will be held on Twin Oaks Farm. It has been planned as a fun event, and it will also serve as a fundraiser for the Idaho Foodbank. Everyone who comes out to participate as a runner or spectator is asked to lend a helping hand by bringing along a donation of at least one non-perishable food item or $5.00. Each $5.00 contribution will feed 20 people in the state who are at risk of going hungry.

The Tater Dash Mud Run will also help to support Twin Oaks Farm, which serves as a site for agritourism, and it also has a wildlife refuge on its 180 acres. A local printer can supply everything from numbered race bibs to finish line Banners, which can help to make sure it is a success and meets its fundraising goals.

The race will be held on July 15th in Eagle. Anyone who is interested in registering or finding out more can do so on the event’s website.
