During the busy holiday season, Boise residents are asked to take some time to do a good turn for their neighbors in need.
The Giving Tree will be set up in The Grove Plaza, and when members of the public drop by to view the brightly lit holiday tree, they will be able to visit the Giving Tree as well. Everyone is encouraged to participate in this activity, and it will benefit the Women’s and Children’s Alliance (WCA).
Those who would like to take part will be able to choose a tag from the tree, and then purchase the “wish list” items named on it. These contributions can be dropped off at either the Vista Branch or the Downtown Branch of the Idaho Central Credit Union, and they will also be accepted at the WCA offices. The planners of this donation drive noted that they wished to thank all their community partners for their support.
This type of activity can bring some additional cheer to the holiday season for both the giver and the recipient alike. A printing services company can prepare tags to use during an initiative like this, using materials that can withstand being out in the elements.
The Giving Tree will be located in The Grove Plaza, and the final date to drop off a gift will be December 18.
