Boise meal will feature Mexican inspired vegan dishes

A meal is on the way for Boise that will showcase vegan food cooked with a Mexican flare, and everyone is welcome to come out and sample this style of cooking for themselves.

Those who come to the evening, which is being held in the JUMP Share Studio located at 1000 W. Myrtle St., will be treated to a menu that includes a vegan take on popular Mexican dishes. It will open with a salad featuring chili and lime components, which will be followed by mildly spicy stuffed poblano peppers and a dessert of rice pudding. Anyone who would like to purchase a drink to accompany their meal will have an opportunity to do so.

Each person who attends the dinner will leave with the recipes for the dishes that were on the menu, and it is open to anyone who is age 13 and over. A printer’s digital copying service can be used to produce recipe cards and other items to hand out during this type of event. According to the organizers, their goal is to help people in the area find out how they can make vegan choices while still enjoying some of their favorite foods.

The tickets for this event, which has been planned for January 20th, are being offered at a price of $40.00 each. Anyone who would like to find out more is invited to visit the Treasure Valley Vegans Facebook page for more information.
